What’s Coming?
Blessings all, I’ve been praying and seeking the Lord about the current world events. I asked him what’s coming and unfortunately, I heard something I didn’t want to hear,
“Darkness is coming”
As much as I don’t want to say this, what we are experiencing now is nothing compared to what’s coming. I believe that we are in the beginning of ‘birth pains’
Matthew 24:7-8, For peoples will fight each other, nations will fight each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various parts of the world; all this is but the beginning of the ‘birth-pains.’(CJB)
Not only do we have the c o v i d situation, the rise of the communist Spirit throughout the earth, we also have natural disasters all over the world happening at the same time. As sin|evil increases on the earth, the earth reacts with all sorts of disasters, the earth cannot contain the sin|evil.
God created the earth for beauty and when sin|evil increases, the earth retaliates.
Romans 8:20-22, For the creation was made subject to frustration — not willingly, but because of the one who subjected it. But it was given a reliable hope that it too would be set free from its bondage to decay and would enjoy the freedom accompanying the glory that God’s children will have. We know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth; (CJB)
We are living in testing times, and I believe as we enter the Holy days Rosh Hashana the Jewish New Year of 5782 on September 6, (means “head of the year”). This is a time of reflection & repentance, with the blowing of the Shofar a reminder of God’s sovereignty over the earth, followed by Yom Kippur September 15, (day of Atonement). This for believers is a reminder of the price Yeshua paid for us, he was the ultimate Atonement for our sin.
This is a time for the Body of Christ to examine their relationship with God and reflect on all that Yeshua (Jesus) has done.
This is a time of testing which will determine the true believers from the false. There has also been a separation of wheat and tares. You will know them by their fruit, but sadly rotten fruit has been overlooked in the body of Christ. No more says the Lord! Judgement begins in the house of the Lord!
Jesus is coming for a pure bride.
2 Corinthians 13:5, Examine yourselves to see whether you are living the life of trust. Test yourselves. Don’t you realize that Yeshua the Messiah is in you? — unless you fail to pass the test. (CJB)
We need to remember although Jesus died as the Lamb, He is coming back as a Lion, to rule and Raine and Judge.
All that is hidden will be exposed in the body of Christ!
Romans 1:18-21,
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So, they are WITHOUT excuse. For although they KNEW God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (ESV)
What are we meant to do in these times?
Although darkness may cover the earth and arise over the peoples, the Glory of the Lord is resting on his. The gates of hell will not prevail no matter how messed up the world is. The Lord is saying in this time, “TRUST ME”
Will you trust me, or will you cave under the pressure?
One thing we need to be mindful of, is not to pray against God’s word. We know these days of trials and tribulation must come for Jesus to return.
2 Thessalonians 2:14-17, He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, STAND FIRM and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
Mark 16:15, Then he said to them, “As you go throughout the world, proclaim the Good News to all creation. (CJB)
We are called to be a light in the darkness, we need to be drawing closer to the Lord in these times. We need his wisdom to know what to do in these times. He will guide and direct our paths; he is faithful to his word. The Lord will move with his mighty hand when we least expect it! He is still on the Throne no matter what is going on in the world. We know what the enemy is doing, we need to be more ‘FOCUSED’ on what God is doing and what he expects of us. The Lord is mighty to save. Not by power not by might but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord!
This is a call for the remnant all over the world to be a light in the darkness.
Romans 11:5, It’s the same way in the present age: there is a remnant, chosen by grace. (CJB)
The Lord is calling us to carry his fragrance of Love, peace, mercy, kindness, goodness, and patience in this time. People are scared, lost, and confused, we have the answer they need, if we as the church cave in, walk in frustration and confusion, what hope are we for the lost?
God is saying, “carry my fragrance, carry my presence”. JUDGEMENT is mine says the Lord! Do not be afraid, my promise is to be with you until the very end, TRUST in my promises.
Proverbs 3:25-26, Don’t be afraid of sudden terror or destruction caused by the wicked, when it comes; for you can rely on Adonai; he will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. (CJB)
I encourage you to ‘STAND FIRM’ in the word of God because His WORD is the only thing you can put your trust in. “Trust Him”.
What do we pray then?
Matthew 6:9-13, You, therefore, pray like this: “Our Father in heaven! May your Name be kept HOLY. May your Kingdom come; YOUR WILL be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us the food we need today. FORGIVE US what we have done wrong, as we too have FORGIVEN THOSE who have wronged us. And do not lead us into hard testing but keep us safe from the Evil One. For KINGSHIP, POWER and GLORY are YOURS FOREVER. AMEN.’ (CJB)
Rise up! Be the HOPE for the hopeless, keep your lamps full of oil and let your light SHINE in the darkness.
